Proactive Retentions Executive

We’re looking for an experienced Retentions Executive to join our growing Retentions team.

Location: Hybrid Working |    Business Area: Retentions |    Salary: Up to £25,000 dependent on experience

Reporting into the Renewals Team Leader, we need reward driven people with high energy and great attitude, who would thrive on achieving renewal of business and keeping the customer happy.

The Role:
  • Proactively engage with Customers before their renewal dates to agree new contracts
  • Retaining customers who have given notice to cancel through contract renewals
  • Handle customer objections and drive towards a successful resolution of assigned renewals
  • Take ownership of issues and follow through to conclusion
  • Prepare proposals for Customers
  • Achievement of monthly KPIs and renewal targets
  • Update and maintain CRM system to ensure renewal records are correct and up to date
  • Highly customer-focused, dedicated in providing an excellent customer experience
  • Identify up-sell opportunities across the range of Chess products and services
  • Develop and maintain up to date product/service knowledge and market information
The Candidate:
  • Experience in an account manager role and / or retention role
  • Ability to work under pressure & meet retention targets
  • Excellent telephone sales skills and be able to articulate the value of staying with Chess
  • Effective communicator with superb negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Self-development
  • Adaptable to change
  • Good mathematical ability
  • Problem solver with good analytical skills
  • Telecoms knowledge/experience is preferred but is not essential for this role
Package Details

Salary details: Up to £25,000 dependent on experience

Hours: A standard week is 37½ Monday to Friday

Allowing you to enjoy the flexibility of working from home whilst also having the option to
work from one of our many local hubs spread throughout the UK. Ad-hoc travel to offices
within the group and other locations may be required on occasion.
