Lead Power Platform Consultant

Location: UK Based   |    Business Area: Digital   |    Salary Details: Competitive basic salary

We’re looking for an experienced Power Platform Consultant to join our growing Digital team.

Reporting into the Head of Digital Solutions, you’ll be responsible for driving the design, development, governance, and optimisation of solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents). This leadership role ensures the platform is leveraged to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative business solutions aligned with organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Delivery:

  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Define and enforce development standards, best practices, and governance models across the Power Platform ecosystem.
  • Oversee integration of Power Platform with
  • Dynamics 365, Azure services, and third-party systems.

Presales and Marketing:

  • Lead initial client engagement meetings as a subject matter expert to understand requirements and discuss potential solutions. 
  • Creation of statement of works and proposals to meet customer requirements, including defining accurate project timelines and costs estimates. 
  • Deliver webinars and seminars on areas of knowledge to generate new business by showcasing current and future Power Platform capabilities.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, security policies, and compliance standards for Power Platform environments.
  • Supports governance workshops and COE deployment and managed services.
  • Manage platform administration, including environments, connectors, licensing, and capacity planning.

Team Leadership & Mentoring:

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers and citizen makers, promoting knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure technical quality of deliverables.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay ahead of Microsoft roadmap updates and emerging technologies to recommend strategic enhancements.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps practices, ALM strategies, and CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform solutions.

 


Key Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services, REST APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Experience with ALM, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), and testing strategies for Power Platform.
  • Development Skills
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML/CSS for advanced customisations.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to lead teams and foster a culture of innovation.
  • PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect)
  • PL-400 (Power Platform Developer)
  • PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals)
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 and enterprise-scale solution delivery.

Working Hours & Location:

A standard week is 37½ Monday to Friday

Flexible, hybrid position with a home-first working policy. Allowing you to enjoy the flexibility of working from home whilst also having the option to work from one of our many local hubs spread throughout the UK. Ad-hoc travel to offices within the group and other locations may be required on occasion.
