Connectivity Specialist - 2025

We are currently looking to recruit a Connectivity Specialist to focus on the delivery of 2025 Proactive Migrations.

Location: Hybrid Working |    Business Area: Projects |    Salary: Up to £33,000 dependent on experience

Reporting into the Projects Team Leader, we are currently looking to recruit a Connectivity Specialist to focus on the delivery of 2025 Proactive Migrations, being the first point of contact for customers and leading the way with all technical aspects of the migration.

The Role:

The PSTN and ISDN Big Switch Off is fast approaching. To prepare for this, we need to support our customers with the migration to an alternative solution by the end of December 2025. You will play a pivotal role in this project and be responsible for supporting customers through the migration journey from a technical perspective.

  • Be able to identify suitable product migrations based on customer current set up.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Be the technical point of contact for all migration issues identified.
  • Communicate with customers around migration faults or any migration led issues.
  • Taking ownership of Customer queries with the focus to stop any repeat issues.
  • Managing and supporting a range of connectivity products. This includes troubleshooting faults with broadband and phone lines as well as diagnosing issues with routers and firewalls.
  • Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with customers both internally and externally to successful delivery of the 2025 project.
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders at senior level.
  • Attending, running and participating in meetings with customers/suppliers.
  • To work with suppliers, when required, to escalate faults and take through to resolution.
  • Hitting a targeted driven number of migrations each month to ensure the project is delivered on time.

The Candidate:

  • Good understanding of the 2025 product set. This includes troubleshooting faults with broadband and phone lines as well as diagnosing issues with routers and firewalls.
  • Good understanding of the latest network technologies and protocols including routing, VPNs, NAT, IP subnetting, MPLS and SD-WAN.
  • Good understanding on Network software including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP protocols.
  • Logical and objective approach with an attention to detail.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to work under pressure and be able to communicate well at all levels.
  • Strong technical mind-set with ability to think outside of the box.
  • Good organisational skills, able to set goals and prioritise actions.
  • Resilient, tenacious, be able to work under pressure to clear set milestones.
  • High energy and attitude.
  • Take responsibility for your own personal development.
Package Details

Salary details: Up to £33k dependent on experience

Hours: A standard week is 37½ Monday to Friday

Working location: Hybrid working position
