Managing Your Content For Compliance

Managing Your Content for Compliance

Management of threats and compliance with regulations have not gone away over the last 9 months and many of our customers have asked us to help them with their digital information infrastructure, so I thought it might be useful to highlight 3 areas to consider.

Our team of consultants, security specialists and application developers can help you identify and fix issues to reduce your risk and importantly, make your offering inclusive to everyone, so please get in touch if you need help.

Check Online Content

According to government figures at least 1 in 5 people in the UK have a long term illness, impairment or disability, and in these difficult times the need for web content to be more inclusive has never been greater.

A recent survey on behalf of the charity, Scope found that 9 out of 10 of England's biggest councils failed to meet the accessibility standard. Read more on the survey results HERE.

There is a wide range of recommendations for making content more accessible which is covered in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Following these guidelines will also often make your web content more usable to users in general, and in many organisations is a regulatory requirement. While potentially a daunting task we can help you test your website to check it complies and make recommendations in areas requiring improvement.

Apply Governance and Assessment

Never Trust, Least Privilege Access, Always Verify: The Zero Trust approach to cybersecurity requires all users to continuously validate their security strength and right to access through authorisation and authentication. Many organisations are adopting a Zero Trust approach to enable secure remote working.

To apply Zero Trust principals within your organisation you may require multiple solutions and technologies such as multi-factor authentication, identity and access management and next-generation endpoint solution.

Continuous governance, regular risk and security assessments using Microsoft Secure Score will provide you with better visibility of your security strength, advising on your cloud security health.
